Baby Cupcake Ideas

Baby Cupcakes

Cupcake Decorating Supplies Needed

  • Gummy Lifesavers (regular can also be used)
  • White frosting
  • Black frosting
  • Brown icing gel
  • Frosting tip # 3

Use the brown icing gel and mix it little by little with your white frosting to make the skin. Frost and then add your hair, nose and eyes with black frosting and draw them on just as you want them using the frosting tip #3.

Add your gummy lifesaver on the mouth area to serve as the pacifier and then you are done. As another option you can also find a round candy to place it on top of the lifesaver to make it look even more like a pacifier.

Pea in Pod & Cabbage Patch Baby

Cupcake Decorating Supplies Needed

  • Green fondant or white fondant and green icing gel
  • White Frosting
  • Brown icing gel
  • Black frosting
  • Frosting tip # 1
  • Small leaf shaped cookie cutter (for cabbage/flower look) or large leaf shape cutter (for pea pod only)

First make the baby’s head by adding a little brown icing gel to white fondant and then work the color through until fully uniform. Make a round ball to represent the head of the baby and then smush down so the front is flat. The head or ball should be the size or smaller than your thumb (more or less). Next, use your fine point frosting tip #1 by Wilton and draw on the eyes and mouth. Set the head aside and then use your leaf shaped cookie cutter and cut out the leaf shape. Place the baby’s head inside the leaf and pinch the bottom and top parts to make it look like a small pea pod and trim or cut as needed.

Cabbage Patch Baby Cupcakes

To make the cabbage patch looking baby head follow the same steps to make the baby but you will use the small leaf cutter to cut out several leaves to go around your baby’s head. Once you have finished arrange them around the baby (starting from the bottom) and press down lightly to ensure they are secure. Add it to your cupcake and add more decorations as desired.

Cute Baby Shower Cupcake

Crying Baby Cupcake

This crying baby is made exactly like the first picture above with pacifier baby. The only difference is the mouth is drawn on in black and this little one has a cute bonnet! To add the bonnet all you need to do is grab an extra cupcake liner and position it so it is higher on the top, it should stick up as shown here. You can either use some frosting on the sides to make it stick or secure it gently with a pretty ribbon or string.

Happy Baby

Use pink fondant and cut out some small circles to make the pink cheeks for this baby. Use Wilton tip #1 to draw on the mouth, nose and eyes and her lock of hair.
